Accommodation Facilities

The University offers a range of quality accommodation in the Halls of Residence on-campus and off-campus. This is handled with semi-independent unit known as Sokoine University of Agriculture Housing and Student Accommodation Bureau (SUAHAB) whose offices are located at Administration Block Edward Moringe campus. There are 12 Halls on-campus and are charged at the rate of TZS. 630/= per day for undergraduate students. Another accommodation facility is located at Solomon Mahlangu Campus, 13km from Edward Moringe Campus, Nicholas Kuhanga Hostel outside near Edward Moringe and Ex-NBC Hostel located to the city center both are charged at the rate of  TZS 630/= per day and Tshs. 5000 for postgraduate students and $140/- for international students. Private Transport from the University to other Hostels is available all the time.

Edward Moringe Hostels

Managed by Mr. Modest Mnyambugha William who is a warden, these Hostels are categorized by Hostel 1 – 12 and hosts undergraduate, postgraduate and foreign students.

It has a capacity of 748 Beds for undergraduate Students and 36 Beds for Postgraduate, water, electricity, Soccer pitch, Basketball court, Dispensary, Cafeteria, CRDB and NMB Bank. Mosque and churches to worship for Muslims and Christians are available

Nicholas Kuhanga Hostels

Managed by Mr. luka George Shagama who is a warden, Nicholas Kuhanga Hostel has Two blocks of residence namely Blocks A & B which are supervised by qualified Wardens to ensure that students are in a comfortable and clean environment.

It has a capacity of 1056 Beds for undergraduate Students and 66 beds for Postgraduate, water, electricity and study areas.

Solomon Mahlangu Hostels

Managed by Mr. Lugano Mwasampeta who is a warden,                      Solomon Mahlangu Hostel has six Units with Three Blocks each  namely Unit 1- 6 and Tabora which are supervised by qualified Wardens and Janitors to ensure that students are in a comfortable and clean environment.

It has a capacity of 1418 Beds for undergraduate students, water, electricity, a Soccer pitch, a Basketball court, a Dispensary, CRDB Bank, and study areas.

NBC Hostels

Managed by Ms. Leah George Shilaka who is a Warden, Hostel has Two blocks of residence namely Blocks A & B these Hostels are situated at Morogoro Town adjacent to NMB Bank Wami Branch

It has a capacity of 247 Beds for undergraduate students, water, electricity, and study areas.
